Go Scandinavia...

I keep wondering how many Australians I've actually met while I've been here.
I met one last night and I'm sure most of the people running this hostel are Aussies (well, one is Italian). There's one weird Australian guy living here, he's name is Bill and he looks like a bum and spooks everyone out. Other than that, I seem to surround myself with Scandinavians. Weird. I share a room with three girls from Norway and yesterday I met another Finn at a BBQ next door. And then these two girls from Aland came along (can't write it correctly on this keyboard but it's an island belonging to Finland where everyone speaks Swedish). It's kind of funny, really.
I attempted to swim at Bondi yesterday but damn, the waves were something fierce. So me, being a wuss, just had a quick dip. We did a lovely scenic walk from Bondi to Bronte (we were supposed to get to Coogee but the path didn't go that far). Fantastic views. I love all the walking we do, though I need to buy proper walking shoes.
Off to Manly today. No more sunbathing for me though, ever. I've been convinced by all the skin cancer clinics and stuff *reaches for sunblock*.

lol, its funny how the world seems to have these weird holes in the fabric of timespace where no matter where you go.. you end up meeting people from where you came from... ooohhh, waves! lucky! :) careful breaking in new shoes...

Don't have new shoes yet, need to buy them...the waves at Manly beach were so big yesterday that the beach was closed for swimming. They were HUGE!

As far as I remember, to get to Coogee you need to come off the cliff-type path for a while and walk through a residential area, then you end up in a park-type area above Coogee. Go back, and eat at A Fish Called Coogee - it was some of the yummiest food I had while I was there :-)

Cool, thanks for that! I'm not sure whether I'll go back to Bondi again because Manly was so much nicer (though more expensive with the ferry) but I've heard Coogee is pretty great too.
